Official SAPROF User Training: Enhance Your Assessment Skills

In the training the background of the tool is presented, the coding procedure explained and the content of each factor discussed. You will gain experience coding the SAPROF by means of a realistic practice case for which different rating contexts are compared. You will learn about integrating risk and protective factors, practice drawing conclusions from the assessment and contemplate on how this translates into positive treatment goals and risk management. The joint application of risk-focused tools together with the SAPROF in risk-assessment practice will be discussed. Practical implementation suggestions are offered and research results are shared.

Prior knowledge of other risk assessment tools (like the HCR-20V3, the VRS(-YV), the SAVRY or the EARL-V3) and the Structured Professional Judgment procedure is beneficial. Although the SAPROF can also be used together with actuarial risk assessment tools, such as the STATIC-STABLE or (Y)LS/CMI.
