Risk Screener Youth
The Risk Screener Violence (RS-V) and the Risk Screener Youth (RS-Y) offer a relatively quick and easy alternative when comprehensive risk assessment is simply not feasible for all individuals. These tools present an inventory of risk and protective factors for future violence and other criminal behavior. The adult version is developed for evaluating concerns regarding future violence for individuals residing in prison. The youth version guides the evaluation of violence and non-violent criminal behavior in juveniles and young adults in a range of different settings, both residential and in the community.
Risk Screener Youth
The Risk Screener Youth (RS-Y) offers aims to evaluate a broader range of criminal behavior in the community: 1) concerns about future violence, and 2) concerns about other non-violent future criminal behavior. This tool encompasses a novel approach by not only offering a professional rated version, but also an additional self-assessment version as well as a network-assessment version. This three-fold way of evaluating risks and strengths offers a multidimensional view, which improves insight for clients and their social network, facilitates risk communication and inspires collaborative goalsetting.
The Risk Screener Youth is available in English, Dutch and Spanish.
