Risk Screener Violence

The Risk Screener Violence (RS-V) and the Risk Screener Youth (RS-Y) offer a relatively quick and easy alternative when comprehensive risk assessment is simply not feasible for all individuals. These tools present an inventory of risk and protective factors for future violence and other criminal behavior. The adult version is developed for evaluating concerns regarding future violence for individuals residing in prison. The youth version guides the evaluation of violence and non-violent criminal behavior in juveniles and young adults in a range of different settings, both residential and in the community.

Description

Risk Screener Violence Prison Practice

The Risk Screener Violence (RS-V) for adults in the prison setting is unique in its simplified approach to screen for the most prominent risk and protective factors during prison stay. The tool aims to guide prison staff to draw 3 final conclusions: 1) concerns about future violence within the prison context; 2) concerns about future violence in the community upon discharge; and 3) concerns about future violence during prison leaves.

The Risk Screener Violence is available in Dutch and will be translated into English shortly.
