The English translation of the SAPROF-YV was published in March 2015. The tool is intended as a positive addition to juvenile violence risk assessment in forensic youth psychiatry with risk-focused tools such as the SAVRY or the YLS/CMI.

Training in the use of the SAPROF-YV is not mandatory to be able to start using the tool, however attending training is highly recommended. Training opportunities are posted under upcoming events.
